"Doing Life Perfectly Imperfect"

"I never thought I'd come to much. That's what my Dad told me anyway."

Dear Reader,

Happy May for Tomorrow! Don't you just love that Spring is coming and everything is blooming? It really is one of my favourite times of the year.

May is the start of conference season, a busy time for me for talks and events, which is crazy when you think I feared public speaking more than I feared anything else in the world!

I remember a time when I would shake so much that I couldn't hold my crib notes steady, and my voice would come out all squeaky and shy.

Now I rock the stage like Madonna! Well, not quite, but I enjoy presenting, which always seemed impossible.

I still get nervous and sometimes feel awkward, BUT I feel like my message is more important than my insecure feelings, and that carries me through.

So, I've learned to ignore my thinking and get on with my mission.

Where in your life have you been able to see through your insecurity and do the things you never thought you could do?

All that said, here are the links to some of the events I'll be at. I'd love to see you there and sign a copy of Wing of an Angel for you.

Let me know if you are coming!

Loads of great talks and authors at this event on a variety of topics. I'm presenting at the Authors Showcase for 2 mins (!) on Weds 1st May and that one's free to attend :)

This is a ticketless event, so it's not on their website, but they have a packed day of local authors to enjoy from a plethora of genres. My gig is at 11:30. Free to attend.

A wonderful event of international speakers in the heart of Prague. An amazing opportunity to deepen your own listening and connect with others. Come and be with us in Prague or listen online (for free).

Coming up:

June 29 - July 1st: I'll be at the 3PUK conference in London, another wonderful event full of connection, learning and an exploration into your own potential.

July 9 - 12: I'm co-presenting at the British Society for Criminology Conference in Glasgow. An opportunity to learn about what's going on in the world of criminology research and connect with some impressive activists and speakers.

September 12 - 15: I'm co-hosting an intimate Writers Retreat in Leicestershire, on the beautiful grounds of Launde Abbey. No experience is needed, just a desire to find your voice (3 places left).
